We host the annual Geochemistry Group Research in Progress (GGRiP) meeting that supports PhD students and early career researchers from throughout the international Geochemistry community. The next Geochemistry Group Research in Progress (GGRiP) meeting will take place in Bristol on the 24th-26th of March 2026

We host a panel series “Out of Academia: Into Science” which aims to showcase the range of diverse careers open to geochemistry PhD graduates and help gain insight into how the skills and experience from the PhD are valued in other sectors. We also have a lunchtime seminar series “ECR Skills for Geochemists” which aims to provide geochemistry-focused training and advice to PhD students and other Early Career Researchers (ECRs). Please get in touch with us if you have an idea for a future topic for either series.

Our Early Career Researcher Prominent Lecture Program is an award for one individual each year to deliver a tour of Great Britain and Ireland, presenting in a number of institutions around GB/Ireland. The 2024 winner was Dr. Ross Whiteford from Royal Holloway, University of London. If would like to host Ross, reach out to Ross directly (Ross.Whiteford@rhul.ac.uk) or email the Geochemistry Group secretary Marie Laure Bagard (mlb63@cam.ac.uk).
